Registration FAQ
Q: When are the registration periods for Muncy AYSO?
A: Open Registrations are in January for the spring season and May for the fall season. Once set, Registration Dates are listed on our Home Page Calendar.
Q: How do I sign my child up to play soccer?
A: During the Open Registration periods, simply go to www.EAYSO.org and create an account (if you haven't previously done so). Once you create an account, apply for registration by filling in the requested information. Once complete, print out one copy of the player registration and concussion information forms, sign, and bring them with you to one of the registration sessions to be announced on this website (Jan for spring season and again in May for fall season). Your child will not be registered until the Regional Registrar has obtained the signed registration form, concussion form, and payment. If this is the first time your child has played AYSO for Muncy, please bring a copy of a birth certificate to verify age. EAYSO retains the information you enter so reregistering for subsequent seasons is easy; login to your account, use the option to register a returning player, verify your information is correct, print your application forms, and follow procedures listed above.
Q: I am a parent with a child currently playing for AYSO but am unable to get into my account to sign up for this upcoming soccer registration.
A: If you are unable to re-open your EAYSO account it is probably due to incorrect entry of your user login email address or password. For forgotten passwords, there is a mechanism to have it sent to you on the sign-on screen of www.EAYSO.org.
Q: How do I sign my child up for spring season?
A: If your child played in the fall season, login to your account at www.EAYSO.org and verify your information is correct using the “Update player information” option. Then use the “Print Player Form” option to print 1 copy of the registration form and concussion information form. Once signed, these forms must be brought with payment to one of the scheduled registration sessions. The dates, times, and location of the registration sessions will be posted on the calendar of this website's home page.
Q: None of the information for my player is highlighted, and I am unable to open it, what can I do?
A: Make sure that you are registering your child with the same EAYSO user account that you used before. Sometimes one parent creates an account and registers the child, then the other parent opens another account to sign the player up again. If you create another registration for your child, it generates a duplicate record. Try to use only one account to register your player, if you forgot your sign in information and/or password, there are ways of getting that information from eayso rather than creating another user account.
Q: My child played for another region last season and now I can’t register them to play in region 90, how can I register them?
A: Send an e-mail to the Regional Registrar with the player(s) name, phone number (the number used to register the child in the previous region), and what region they previously played in. This request will then be sent to the original region to release the player. Once this is done, you will be notified and will be able to register the child into www.EAYSO.org for region 90.
Q: My child has played AYSO before but we have never used EAYSO before, what do I do?
A: If you had attended one of our registration sessions in the past without having printed forms for your child, the registrar had entered their information into EAYSO for you. Once you establish your own account, you will need to contact the EAYSO help desk at 1-866-588-2976, and request that your child’s player information is linked to your account. Once this is done, you should have no problems in the future reregistering for following seasons.
Q: EAYSO shows a different age than my child is, how do I change it? Also, why are they playing in the same age group since they are older now?
A: EAYSO assigns an age based on a “membership year” (MY) rather than a “calendar year.” The EAYSO calendar year runs from August 1 to July 31. This way the age group that you play in the fall season will be the same age group that you play in the spring. You won’t change age groups until the fall of the next year.
Q: My child is 4, can he/she play in U5?
A: EAYSO assigns an age based on a “membership year” (MY) rather than a “calendar year.” The EAYSO calendar year runs from August 1 to July 31. If your child turns 4 on or after August 1, he is considered to be 3 years old until the 1st of August the next year. If he turned 4 before August 1, he is considered to be 4 years old and can play in U5 division.
Q. Can my player play in another age division?
A: Please see Muncy AYSO Policy. You may request that your child move up to the next older division but not down to play in a younger division. Requests to move up must be made at one of the registration sessions. Such a request must be approved by the Regional Commissioner. Approval may or may not be given depending on player's abilities and how the move may affect the current division and if there is availability in the older division.
Q: I registered my child but they will no longer be able to play Muncy AYSO this season. What is Region 90's dropped player policy?
A: You must contact the Regional Registrar to request a drop and/or move for your player up until the first practice. Muncy AYSO Registration Fees are non-refundable. Uniform purchases are non-refundable once delivered to player.
Q: What is the region's policy for returned checks?
A: Muncy AYSO has a $15 returned check fee. If a check is returned to Muncy AYSO with insufficient funds, the amount entered on the check plus the returned check fee must be paid in full prior to a player being permitted to play in future seasons. After two returned checks from a parent/guardian, Muncy AYSO will no longer accept checks from that person. Their registration fees/uniform orders/fundraisers will need to be paid in the form of cash, certified check, or money order.
Q: What should I do if I registered my child online but have not heard from a coach?
A: A lot happens from the time you register until practices begin. We need coaches to volunteer. They then need to be certified/trained. Teams are selected. We also need certified/trained referees to cover the games for all home teams. We hope it is not the case but sometimes this process may not be completed until two weeks before games kick off. Older teams will start to practice first with the youngest (U5/U6) not beginning until the season has officially begun.
Coaches/teams will be announced at the Season Kick-Off meetings for U8 and up. After that date, the coaches will start to contact their parents via phone or some through email. The phone numbers/emails are provided to the coaches based on what you entered in www.EAYSO.org so always be sure to check/update these forms. If we do not have current phone numbers/email addresses, we cannot contact you. Also, many coaches communicate through email so check your spam folders. If you missed the Season Kick-Off meeting and it is April 1st (Spring Season) or September 1st (Fall Season) and you still have not been contacted, please contact the Regional Registrar to make sure the contact information we have for you is correct. U5/U6 season starts last so they are the last to be contacted. If you have questions beforehand call the U5/U6 Coordinator. If you missed the registration nights and mailed your registration forms you MUST contact the Registrar to confirm your application was received. The timing of the Postal Service is beyond our control and in most cases, once teams are set, players can not be added which is why we highly suggest you attend one of the registration sessions.
Q: Can I still register my child to play if I missed both the scheduled registration sessions for the upcoming season?
A.
Muncy AYSO makes every effort to inform parents of upcoming registration sessions. Registration session dates are given to players by the end of each season. It is sent out via email to all email addresses listed in eayso for current Region 90 players. It is sent out in flyers through the elementary school and many of the local preschools. It is also listed in the East Lycoming Shopper for several weeks leading up to the registration nights.
As with all AYSO regions, we hold open registration providing a period of time anyone in the community can register children 4 years and older. If there is an interest to play, we want to see your child on the field playing! With that being said, we must have properly trained volunteers to coach and enough players to build a team. We must close the registration period by a certain date each season in order to train volunteers, submit our team count to the area scheduler based on the number of children registered, and build balanced teams. Taking registrations up until the season begins does not allow for this process to happen.
You may go to www.EAYSO.org anytime during the open registration period to register your player; January for spring season and May for the fall season. You must bring one copy of the signed registration/concussion forms and registration fee to one of the scheduled registration nights in order to complete registration. If you cannot make it to the designated nights, you may contact the Regional Registrar anytime in the open registration period (January or May) and mail the signed forms along with payment to the Muncy AYSO mailing address printed on the player registration form. Any registration received after the evening registration sessions will be processed but will incur a $10 late fee up until the late registration period closes (dates will be listed on home page). Your player(s) are not registered until the Regional Registrar has received the registration forms/payment. If you mail the form, you must contact her to confirm it was received prior to the closing date. If you missed the opportunity to register for this season, please keep checking this website's home page for the next season's open registration period.
